RAD Solutions: Radio Inventory Bridge (RIB) for EFACS Enterprise
Radio Inventory Bridge (RIB) is a browser based Handheld/ Mobile device application which integrates seamlessly with EFACS and enables users to quickly and easily perform real time stock and shop floor transactions remotely.
RIB is a robust modular suite, with each and every component offering real-time transaction processing and configurable enquiries which enable immediate management and interrogation of data (such as: inventory levels) from anywhere on the premises.
Devices
The RIB ‘client’ interface is web based and is designed to be accessed from any device that can operate a Javascript enabled browser such as:
- Smart-phones
- Tablets
- Terminals
- Pocket PC devices
- Desktop PCs
To harness the full benefit of a RIB solution it is recommended that you use devices which are also capable of bar-code scanning. This ensures process efficiency via minimal data entry and increased accuracy and reduces the potential for user/ operator error.

How it works
The RIB interface prompts the user with configured forms containing questions that are specific to their role in the organisation (for example: part number, warehouse, quantity). The answers can be completed either through manual key entry or instantly using a bar code scanner, both which will execute the transaction in real time and display fully validated results.
Every installation of RIB includes an “administration” site which allows you to configure and refine custom templates and security with permissions for groups and/ or even specific EFACS users.
