ERP (Application) Consultant – Glasgow

In response to a significant increase in new business, RAD are seeking an experienced, capable and motivated individual who can join an expert service unit as an ERP (Application) Consultant.

The principle role is to provide business consultancy services within an ERP environment extending to:

  • Implementation of ERP core modules
  • System Architecture, Design and Configuration
  • Delivering customer training and courses in core ERP modules
  • Pre-sales Planning, Preparation, Demonstration and Documentation
  • System development configuration
  • Project Management of both new and existing implementations.

With over 5 years of experience as an ERP consultant, you will have a proven track record in the implementation and delivery of ERP solutions, with an extensive knowledge of at least one of the following industry standard reporting solutions:

  • Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
  • Oracle BI
  • Crystal Reports
  • ECLIPSE

Ideally, you will have implementation experience in a manufacturing environment (process and/or discrete). However, we are very happy to consider Financial software/ ERP consultants who have been quick to learn other business software applications and solutions in the past. Prince 2 Certification or similar methodologies based on the same principles and fluency with XML/HTML, JavaScript and/or any other programming language are both desirable but not essential. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will have years of experience communicating effectively and confidently with financial staff, operational staff, IT staff and senior stakeholder positions.

Your flexibility, attention to detail, problem solving, presentation and analytical skills will all be second to none along with your ability to author clear, concise, customer-facing documentation. The ERP Consultant role will typically involve regular travel to and from sites throughout the UK (most of which are located in the central belt of Scotland) from Monday to Friday. When you are not working with clients you will be based at the RAD office (near Glasgow).     Business Software Support Consultant – Glasgow

In aid of the increased growth and expansion of RAD, we are now actively seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals, ideally with experience in developing and/ or supporting complex technical software solutions for business. A background in manufacturing is also desirable but not essential. The principal responsibilities will be focussed on RAD’s applications helpdesk where you will:

  • Providing front line application support of a leading ERP solution to RAD’s customer base.
  • Developing an extensive working knowledge of the EFACS ERP system, its architecture, design, components and underlying database structure.
  • Communicate regularly with RAD’s customers whilst building a robust understanding of the operational processes they use.
  • Assist the implementation team in the design and configuration of system upgrades and new system implementations.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation associated with on-going projects, as required by the implementation team.
  • Attend client facing meetings with RAD consultants involving every aspect of RAD’s implementation services including but not limited to: Project management, presentations, generic and client specific training programmes.
  • Assist with the on-going development and administration of the company’s IT infrastructure

With a technical background and a proven track record in providing application support, you will have a strong working knowledge of MS SQL and you will be accustomed to working with ERP software and/ or similar Business Software Applications at system admin and database admin level. In addition to mainstream Server applications such as Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange server and IIS, you will have experience working independently on setting up fully virtualised server environments.

You will be a quick learner with exceptional problem solving skills, consistently demonstrating a logical, observant and responsive approach when discussing and resolving both generic and unique queries and meeting the requirements of customers. Fluency with XML/ HTML, C#, JavaScript and/or any other programming language is advantageous but not essential.

Previous experience administrating any of the following software applications is also considered useful: Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta), Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), Epicor, IFS, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Glovia, Aggreso, Coda, Hansa, Lawson, Syspro, Baan, BPCS, Syteline, SWAN, Mapics and other MRP based applications etc. You will be capable of working both independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Telemarketing Officer – Glasgow (£15 to 17k+ per annum – negotiable/ based on experience)

In order to sustain and further stimulate a significant increase in new business, RAD are now actively searching for a Telemarketing Officer with the necessary skills and experience to help further develop and grow the company’s successful operations in sales.

The Telemarketing Officer position offers an outstanding opportunity for an organised, articulate, positive and self-motivated individual to rapidly develop their career in the highly competitive and rewarding IT industry.

The position involves a range of duties which focus primarily on the nurturing and development of phone based relationships with prospective business partners and the assisted implementation of sales and marketing campaigns that promote greater public awareness of the company’s products and services, primarily to the Scottish manufacturing industry.

To fulfil the primary responsibilities of the Telemarketing Officer the successful candidate will:

  • Provide qualified leads to the sales department, to develop and generate new business opportunities.
  • Follow up marketing campaigns and events to facilitate the lead generation process.
  • To engage and interact with decision makers at a senior level within RAD’s target market to identify both new and emerging business opportunities.
  • Develop professional working relationships with potential clients and existing customers using both verbal and written communication methods.
  • Identify and qualified cross selling opportunities within both the RAD customer base and prospective clients.
  • Ensuring timely completion of scheduled tasks and campaigns as and when required by your supervisor.
  • Support RAD’s strategic and operational initiatives both for sales and marketing and the company’s own internal development, particularly in terms of quality and timeliness in line with RAD’s procedures, policies and guidelines.
  • Deal appropriately with queries received via the telephone and / or email and provide written or oral responses to confirm the information or outcome.
  • Make use of RAD’s internal software products including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Word & Excel, RAD’s CRM database system and various web based products (such as Credit Checking applications etc).
  • Track and maintain accurate data on the RAD CRM system including relevant notes pertaining to discussions held with both RAD customers and prospects.

Candidates must have a strong command of the English language and excellent literacy skills.

Ideally, you will have 2 or more years of telesales/ telemarketing experience and be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a b2b environment. You will be capable of communicating effectively at multiple levels with individuals that work in finance, operations and IT as well as senior stakeholder positions.
